SciMento-hessenweit is a mentoring program for talented female PhD candidates and postdocs from the five universities in Hesse Darmstadt, Frankfurt, Giessen, Kassel and Marburg and cooperating research institutions. Its aim is to give orientation to female PhD candidates and postdocs in their career paths in order to be able to plan the next stepping stones to a high position in science or private enterprise.

Experienced female and male mentors support you in your career path
Our mentors are female and male professors from Hesse and the bordering countries who enjoy sharing their knowledge with young women in science and want to help them in their professional life. And the professors are from a different university than their respective group of mentees.
A new state-wide women’s career support program: The Presiding Committee of the Hessian Universities (Konferenz Hessischer Universitätspräsidien, KHU), the Hessian Universities of Applied Sciences (HAW Hessen), and Geisenheim University have create a new cooperative and state-wide mentoring program to specifically support the career development of women.
